Sales Representative, Retail Sales (Ohio & Midwest)

MAPEI is seeking a dynamic Retail/Consumer Sales Representative to drive sales through retail distribution channels. This role focuses on building relationships with big box stores, contractors, architects, and designers, promoting MAPEI's innovative products through hands-on demonstrations and collaborative efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales targets and grow market share within the assigned territory. Conduct engaging product demonstrations, presentations, and customer training sessions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects using sales leads and industry connections. Collaborate with internal teams and local representatives to address customer needs and resolve issues. Provide market insights and recommendations for new products. Support jobsite training, inspections, and product demonstrations as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of five years’ experience in sales of commercial products. Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree from a four year College or University, strongly preferred. High School Diploma or GED, required. Strong knowledge of the assigned market,/industry and a proven sales record. Valid state driver’s license. Ability to work independently and to travel throughout the assigned territory Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
