This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Sales Representative. This is a field sales role and the territory is Philadelphia, PA.

 

For this role, you will grow margin, revenue, share, & volume with Retail and ACD (Associate Contract Distributor) accounts in the Northeast Region. You will also focus on working with your customers to drive our strategic long-term projects.

Your responsibilities will include

 

Drive sales within small to medium-sized trade customers by proactively meeting with trade customers, partnering with them to strategically use co-op and merch funds to grow the business, keep trade customers up to speed on their sales performance and leverage volume rebates to drive growthContribute to sales team success by sharing market and competitive information by participation within region to share information & best practices with sales managers, market managers, and region leadershipDevelop relationships with existing and potential new trade customers Proactively negotiate and close profitable salesTrain trade partners on the merits of Whirlpool Corporation's products by working closely with the sales teams at the accounts to ensure they remain knowledgeable on Whirlpool’s products and understand how they differ from the competition and preparing and renewing quotes for ACD accountsMerchandise trade customer floors by negotiating for floor spots to ensure we maintain a competitive balance of floorDevelop and drive a “plan to sell” to grow both margin, revenue, and shareServe as a trade partner’s main point of contact within Whirlpool on Operational SupportWill travel up to 30%.  Responsible for meeting deadlines and providing timely responses to customers. Ability to relocate based on business needsMinimum requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree1+ years of sales experience Preferred skills and experiences

 

Experience developing strong customer relationships seeking new business and support of contract renewals.Analytical and negotiation skillsExcellent communication skills with experience delivering persuasive presentations delivering resultsInsatiable appetite to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and volume goals  Track record of sales successSelf-starter with the ability to develop and drive sales strategyDynamic motivator/leaderChallenger mentalityStrong willingness to embrace and drive changeKnowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven sellingKnowledge of products and brandsFamiliarity with the retail distribution channelIntelligence on the competitive landscape Strong PC Skills (Google Suite, SAP)Strong communication skills both verbal and written
