Our National Accounts team focuses on business with medium to large retail and restaurant brands while partnering with national sign companies for distribution and commissioning. Our sales efforts leverage our vast array of applications to best solve the prospects/customers challenges. We are driven to be the clear choice for any brand that wishes to generate a return on objective which may include increased revenue generation or brand engagement through digital display networks.
As a sales representative, you will collaborate with our marketing, sales applications, manufacturing and engineering teams in developing effective strategies and executing a comprehensive sales plan. You will actively seek out and leverage key partnerships to increase Digital Signage sales. Your consultative sales skills will assist you to educate, effectively manage client concerns and requirements, overcome obstacles and building long-term relationships.
You should have the confidence to talk with management executives at major brands. You will focus on learning the details of the industry and take that knowledge and execute it towards business growth. You will thrive in a sales environment that is focused on developing and acquiring new clients in many of our key markets.
Sales and Business Development
Find, pursue, and close new national accounts business. Prospect and build corporate level opportunities and relationships by pro-actively contacting company executives. Understand the customers’ needs and how our products and services fit as a solution. Build positive relationships with national sign companies that serve these brands and engage with both direct and channel sales models as appropriate. Work in a team environment to develop new business and maintain the current business. Performance metrics will include opportunities created, accounts won, sales revenue and profitability, sales close ratios, customer satisfaction and other business development and sales-related metrics.Sales Staff Development
Assist regional managers in developing sales staff confidence to contact potential National Account customers and/or indoor signage opportunities in their regions. Work collaboratively on regional and national opportunities to secure new business.Individual Sales Representative Expectations
Confidence to talk with high-level executives at major corporations. Willingness to collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies to enhance our business. Ability to learn the national sign company business, how they operate and what makes them successful. Expectation is to learn the key market categories of National Accounts: Retail examples include Quick Service Restaurants, Petroleum/Convenience Store, Grocery, Auto Services, Pharmacy, Financial and Urgent Care amongst others. Research and learn what challenges and opportunities these entities face. Knowledge of Daktronics exterior applications (Galaxy, Fuelight, LCD) Interior applications (LCD and NPP) and Venus Control Suite. Attend trade shows and conferences with a preplanned agenda with the drive to follow up the conversations. Salesforce management, enhance and embrace with enough confidence to assist other team members proper use of the system. Timeliness, responsive and willing to challenge others respectfully.Where will you work?
You will be based in one of the following metro areas: Sioux Falls, SD, Minneapolis, MN, Columbus, OH, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Louisville, KY, Dallas or Houston, TX. Qualifications Prefer at least three years of field sales experience to include channel sales.Demonstrated sales experience selling to executive level influencers. Understands how senior managers make decisions. Ability to craft positive approaches that address senior manager objectives and can present professional proposals with ease and depth of preparation.Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, technical area or similar.Communication skills including good verbal and written skills, ability to develop and present winning presentations of Daktronics products and services and negotiate contracts favorable to Daktronics. Fluent in English, written and verbal. Negotiation Skills: Experience selling product values and features. Must demonstrate ability to successfully negotiate price without being the lowest price supplier. Understand basics of proposal and sales agreement language to negotiate/finalize agreements in conjunction with Daktronics Legal Group. Motivated and a team-player. Initiative to solve problems and seek improvement. Goal-oriented with proven leadership capability. Work schedule may include evenings and weekends for presentations, conventions, and meetings. Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license. Motor vehicle records will be checked. Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Qualified Driver status. Ability to travel by air and ground to customers, conferences, and conventions. Ability to travel for at least four continuous days approximately once per month. Ability to travel throughout North America (Canada/United States).Computer skills to best utilize Sales Force, Microsoft Office, web navigation and internal electronic systems.
