Sales Representative (Farmers Sales)
Job Summary

We’re looking for sales-driven, enthusiastic experienced sales professionals to join our next classes of Sales Consultants beginning in February 2025.

In this role, you will respond to calls coming into our call center by positively promoting Farmers Workplace Solutions insurance products to prospective customers, consulting with customers to understand their needs, and selling those products which best fit the customer’s needs.  You may also make outbound calls to optimize sales potential. You will earn a competitive base salary in addition to monthly incentive earnings based upon your performance.

We provide 8+ weeks of paid training, combining virtual classroom and hands-on learning with mentoring to ensure that you have the skills you need to succeed at Farmers. Ongoing coaching and training will remain a focus throughout your career to help you grow in your role and advance to new opportunities.

Here's what you will accomplish as a member of our team:

Sell insurance products to inbound callers by gathering data from customers to generate quotes and ultimately bind the business; in some instances, make outbound calls

Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, while educating customers regarding coverages and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate option

Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross-sell and upselling opportunities

Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer

Experience Requirements P&C/Personal Lines License is required upon hire Experience in property & casualty insurance sales is preferred  Must be eligible to obtain resident/non-resident property and casualty license in all required states Education - High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred Minimum of 1 year of Sales experience required; Call Center experience is preferred Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style to each phone call, and explain complex policy and coverage information in understandable terms Strong PC and software skills required Position Location/Schedule/Pay

This position is Fully Remote. 

 

We will provide you with the technology that you need successfully to connect from home, including laptop & accessories. 

 

Work Schedule: 

Our priority is to our customers, and we work non-traditional hours to match their needs. 

Candidates hired for this role must be available to work any shifts within the hours below; this may include evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. Shifts are assigned based on business needs. 

 

Monday-Friday 8am-7:00pm PST / 8am-8:00pm MST / 8am- 9:00pm CST / 8am-10:00pm EST 

Saturday 6am-2:30pm PST / 7am-3:30pm MST / 8am-4:30pm CST / 8am-5:30pm EST 

Full-time- 40 hours/week; five 8-hour shifts per week. 

 

Unlicensed Start Date: Tuesday, February 25th 
Licensed Start Date: Tuesday, March 25th

 

Compensation:

Starting base pay is $18 per hour + Monthly Incentives  On target average earnings (Base + Incentive): $75,000 per year  Top performers earning $100k+ annually in total comp  Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
