Area Sales Manager - Channel
Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Sales Specialist, Channel, you will be responsible for implementing the defined channel sales strategy in the region, in an effective manner to improve ABB's market penetration and realize its growth aspirations in the assigned channel. You will achieve this through meeting both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for the assigned channel, in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will act as a critical contributor to the sales customer base growth for the assigned channel.This is a hybrid position, with successful candidates located in the Bloomfield, CT area. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tImplementing the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget.•\tProvide channel strategy input to the Sales team and help to harmonize the market sales and marketing plans.•\tIdentifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.•\tRegularly reports the progress on channel strategy, plans, and budgets. Conducts analyses on channel activity and takes ownership for solving the problems identified, if any.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or STEM related field strongly preferred.2+ years of sales experience in the electrical industry. Experience selling through channel.Ability to travel 50% or as needed throughout the territory. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
