Your role and responsibilitiesMissionAs a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for marketing, sales, and business development in Traction business, Japan. You will ensure comprehensive understanding of local market and competitive environment and support local business management team in identification and realization of business opportunities in line with global strategies, resulting in contribution to maximizing sales volume, profitability, and ABB brand value for assigned business.Reporting to Local Division Manager or Sales Manager, you will identify and develop business opportunities with JPMO team in Japanese related market.Role and Main AccountabilitiesStrategic Planning and Implementation\t- Develop comprehensive business plans for the assigned Traction segment, aligning with both global and local strategies.- Execute short-term and long-term plans to drive growth and market penetration.- Prioritize and identify strategic business opportunities aligned with company priorities.Market Intelligence and Communication\t- Continuously monitor market dynamics, including opportunities, competitive landscape, and pricing trends.- Regularly communicate insights to the global or regional teams to secure necessary support for Japanese market.Sales and Profitability\t- To achieve order volume and profitability targets.- Monitor progress closely and take initiative-taking actions as needed.Customer Relationship Management\t- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.Pipeline Development and Negotiations\t- Visit customers to build a robust lead and opportunity pipeline.- Conduct negotiations with customers, ensuring agreed margins.- Maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.Quotations and Documentation\t- Prepare accurate quotations, technical specifications, and other required documents during bidding and post-sales stages.- Efficiently manage and monitor the submission process.Risk Assessment and Quality Balance\t- Contribute to risk assessments, ensuring an optimal balance between price and quality.
Qualifications for the roleMinimum 3-5 years of successful record in sales or technical sales.Proven experience in B2B markets, particularly with new customer and market acquisition.Familiarity with electrical product or system knowledge is advantageousLanguage Skill: Native Japanese and English proficiency in reading and writing.
