Your role and responsibilitiesAre you experienced in sales and relationship building and do you seek a key role within Service Sales and decarbonizing of ports operation? If so, this job is tailored to you.You will contribute by supporting the maritime industry with technology leading services and decarbonization of port infrastructure. Our solutions help customers decarbonize their operations and partner for a sustainable future. Key focus areas will be general Service Sales and Ports shore power systems, enabling safe and reliable vessels and integration of sustainable power from shore, thus reducing emissions significantly. Additionally, you will explore opportunities within port electrical infrastructure to support smart and emission-free port operations.Your focus is to be close to our customers and identify opportunities.You understand how our solutions contribute to the business of our customers and when to introduce our highly qualified product managers to maximize the customer experience the sales process.As such, you are a true hunter profile and deal maker by hart and manage to build networks with key decision makers.You will be covering the market of Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Faroe Island and Greenland. The market is developing rapidly, and competition is high. Subsequently, you know the competitive landscape and must be capable of positioning ABB as the preferred technology provider of advanced and integrated services.Reliability and decarbonization is a high priority for our customers as a means of complying with increasing external regulations. We support each other and have fun.Role & Responsibility:• Perform customer visits and generate leads within Service sales and landside shore power projects within Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Faroe Island and Greenland. • Lead the bid team in selected tenders and feasibility studies, preparing customer business cases. • Promote ABB solutions in customer meetings and events to retain and build customer commitment. • Drive the decarbonization business in close collaboration with internal local divisions and Solution line excellence centers. • Provide input to Product Management and manage consistent costing and pricing of projects and service offering. • Build product and market knowledge, networks with key decision makers, and support sales across the general product portfolio, with a key focus on general service sale and land side shore power solutions. • Book and conduct meetings for in-depth solution sales and consulting, negotiate and close deals, analyze and identify market opportunities.
Qualifications for the roleRelevant Senior Sales Experience in sales of maritime or port services. General understanding of the maritime industry, decarbonization and regulations and good technical understanding of electrical systems. Ability to collaborate within a matrix organization. Proven experience in maintaining effective working relationships. Commercial and customer-focused mindset. Skilled in building customer relationships. Proven ability to manage complex sales processes with high-level stakeholders. This could come from a background in sales, project management, or product management. Analytical and structured work approach. Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
