Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Sales Specialist to support occupancy growth across our national portfolio. In this role, you will be assigned to underperforming or transitional communities on a rotating, quarterly basis. Your primary focus will be personally driving move-ins by managing the sales process from lead to close, working directly with prospective residents and their families.
While you will provide support and guidance to the on-site sales teams, this position is hands-on and performance-focused—ideal for someone who excels in closing and thrives on meeting (and exceeding) occupancy goals.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets and demonstrate a high level of customer satisfaction
Travel to assigned communities across the U.S. (approximately quarterly rotation)
Personally manage leads, conduct tours, follow up with prospects, and close new move-ins
Develop and execute community-specific sales strategies that drive immediate occupancy growth
Analyze local market conditions and competitive positioning to inform tactical efforts
Partner with Executive Directors and Regional Sales Leaders to establish short-term sales plans
Track and report key performance indicators, lead conversion metrics, and occupancy trends
Offer sales process coaching and mentorship to on-site team members as needed
Serve as a brand ambassador and uphold Watermark’s high standards of service and engagement
Qualifications
5+ years of successful direct sales experience in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or similar field
Proven track record of closing sales and driving occupancy results
Excellent interpersonal, follow-up, and tour presentation skills
Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales performance metrics
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in diverse environments
Willingness and availability to travel extensively (75%+), including overnight stays
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
