Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist Distribution is a critical role responsible for supporting Axalta’s general industrial distribution channels. This role involves assisting in the execution of the distribution strategic plan, collaborating with the Distribution Sales Manager, and managing administrative tasks such as handling agreements, price lists, credit requests, rebate calculations, and other key activities. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in sales, business development, or channel support, with a focus on fostering distributor relationships and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Distribution Strategy:

Assist in the implementation and execution of Axalta’s distribution strategic plan.Identify opportunities to enhance distributor performance and coverage in assigned territories.Support initiatives to expand Axalta’s market reach through strategic partnerships.

Administrative Management:

Track and manage administrative activities related to distributor agreements, including renewals and compliance.Maintain accurate and up-to-date price lists, ensuring timely communication with distributors.Process and track credit requests in coordination with internal finance teams.Calculate and oversee distributor rebates to ensure accuracy and timely payouts.

Distributor Relationship Management:

Serve as a primary point of contact for distributor inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.Provide distributors with product training materials, marketing resources, and technical support to enhance their capabilities.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and distributor performance metrics.Prepare detailed performance and market reports to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.

Collaboration with Distribution Sales Manager:

Work closely with the Distribution Sales Manager to align on strategies, initiatives, and distributor performance goals.Support sales operations to ensure seamless communication and execution of business objectives.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or channel management, preferably within industrial sectors.Experience with distribution channels or working directly with distributors is highly preferred.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.Other Requirements:Willingness to travel as needed to meet with distributors and customers.Understanding of distribution dynamics and industrial markets is a plus.
