Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for the sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market in accordance with the company's strategy. Your key objective will be to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets, ensuring order growth, revenue generation, profitability, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to build long-term customer relationships and manage customer needs effectively.The work model for this role is: #LI - Onsite.This role contributes to Process Automation in the Measurement and Analytics division within the Sales function in India (Instrumentation). Main stakeholders include customers across various industries.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tSelling products, systems, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned divisions.•\tEstablishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand needs, promote ABB’s offerings, and provide tailored solutions.•\tPreparing and executing sales plans using company tools, including regular status reviews and potential recovery plans in case of shortfalls.•\tManaging administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when required.•\tIdentifying and driving the development of new market opportunities and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration.•\tEnsuring efficient marketing activities and effectively communicating the value proposition to customers.•\tCoordinating with the bid and proposal department to prepare offers and ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects, including pricing and trading conditions.You will join a dynamic, high-performing, and customer-focused team, where you will have the opportunity to thrive.
Qualifications for the role\tProven experience in frontline sales of field instrumentation, sales enablement, general sales practices, and account management.\tStrong expertise in ABB’s sales tools, including SFDC, SAP, and Pricing Wizards.\t8–10 years of experience in frontline sales of field instrumentation products across industries such as pharma, power, cement, chemical, water, and more.\tAdvanced skills in solution and application sales engineering, go-to-market strategy, and market intelligence.\tPassion for building strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards.\tBachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation.\tProficiency in English with strong communication skills.
