Your contribution

As a Sales Specialist at Tecan, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our client base in your assigned sales region. You will nurture existing customer relationships while actively seeking out new business opportunities. Your goal is to increase revenue and market share within the Pharma, Biotech, Research, and Diagnostics sectors.

 

Responsibilities

Client Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling. Business Development: Regularly acquire new customers to expand the client base in your territory. Project Leadership: Lead projects from initial consultation to closure, coordinating with the Service team for installations and ensuring smooth execution. Customer Satisfaction: Maximize customer satisfaction by networking with key stakeholders and addressing their needs proactively. CRM and Sales Forecasting: Use our CRM system diligently to document your activities, track project progress, and create accurate sales forecasts. Collaboration: Work closely with Inside Sales, Service, and Customer Operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment and excellent customer service. Cross-Functional Cooperation: Partner with European and global teams to execute sales-promoting activities, events, launches, and surveys. Territory Planning: Regularly create and update territory overviews and plans.

  

Your background

- A scientific background in biology, biotechnology, medicine, chemistry or similar

- 2+ years of sales experience, i.e. experience in in capital equipment sales, formal sales trainings performed

- Solid background and network in at least one of Tecan key markets, i.e. Pharma, Biotech, Clinical diagnostics

- Fluent in German and English. French as 3rd language is preferred

- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365.

- An open-minded team player with self-motivation, creativity, efficiency, and attention to detail. Friendly yet assertive. Willingness to travel and engage in continuous learning is essential.
