Sales Strategy Manager (D2C)

Position Summary

Drive and boost Samsung online sales growth through Samsung.com across the MENA region. Being part of the RHQ D2C team puts you in a leading position at the centre of excellence responsible for maximizing customer experience, brand presence and sales growth across online channels. The position requires an experienced eCommerce Manager who is capable of driving direct-to-consumer eCommerce platforms. This individual will be responsible for driving the online sales performance of Samsung Consumer Electronics products across our D2C digital channels.

Role and Responsibilities

Work with the D2C Lead and regional teams to develop the eStore strategy focussing on sales growth, aligning local subsidiaries’ sales plans and operations to meet deadlines and schedulesSupport with launching new eStore programs and sellout functionalities: cascade strategy to local subsidiaries to maximise sales growth of eStoreOptimize sales performance on the eStores, collaborating across Key Account Management, Sales, Site Merchandising, Product Marketing and technical teams  Educate and share eCommerce best practices and work closely with cross-functional teams to roll out eCommerce initiativesSupport subsidiaries with promotion and sales planning and drive regional events across all marketsManage eCommerce KPIs for traffic, sales, acquisition and customer interaction on the eStoreCompiling weekly & monthly reports – feeding back to the senior management team and advising on strategySupport in developing eStore platform and feature enhancements along with key stakeholders from different regions (including but not limited to payment methods, customer journey improvements, sellout enablers)Support local markets with building infrastructure and framework to drive sales on eStoreManage selected MENA markets and their respective product categories to deliver company vision and ensure revenue and customer satisfaction and loyalty goals are metMaintain up-to-date business, operations, and performance dashboards to provide in-depth visibility and understanding of the online channel’s current and future needs and translate them into sales opportunitiesDevelop strategy for new product launches in collaboration with product, marketing and advertising teamsBuild sustainable product and pricing strategies to drive full product portfolio across all categoriesPlan and manage promotional calendar, to build and execute cross divisional campaigns to maximize selloutTrack and manage sell-in, sellout, WOS, OOS, ageing inventory, and provide necessary analysis and drive markets with action plans to achieve targetsTrack and monitor key performance indicators to identify gaps then set and deliver action plans with markets key stakeholders and follow through with execution recommendations to positively impact sales performance Collaborate closely with content team to optimize the customer journey and conversion rates and ensure brand guidelines and standards are met across the different channelsManage HQ counterparts and attain and deliver best practices improving MENA markets’ executionDrive actionable insights (through web analytics and competitive landscape benchmarking) to improve user experience and platform capabilities

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor/Master degree with 7+ years of eCommerce experienceStrong understanding of market dynamics and technologyExperience managing direct-to-consumer platforms (eStores)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, commercial and technical skillsConceptual and strategic, and must embrace being an owner; getting involved in the details of the businessProficiency in building clear and concise presentations to be used with C-Level managementMust possess interpersonal skills in order to build strong positive people relationshipsComfortable in a collaborative environment; flexible and open to ideas from all areas and levels of the organizationAbility to multitask efficiently, while being well organized and maintaining high attention to detailExcellent time management to work on tight deadlines and handle the pressure of last-minute requestsAbility to operate comfortably and optimally in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environmentKnowledge of e-commerce trends, competitive landscape and digital customer experienceStrong analytical skills to be able to track and generate data based insights on a weekly basisExperience as a category sales manager in the digital space with strong sales acumenComfortable interpreting sales and web traffic data and deriving actionable insightsStrong understanding of data reporting and digital advertising best practicesPossess an innovative and solutions-oriented mindsetExcellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsMust be system oriented as well as computer literate and advanced user of MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
