Sales Supervisor - Industrial Sales (Ohio Area)
The position is responsible for the full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a growth-oriented territory comprised of a diverse group of end-use customers from market segments: railroad, automotive components, precision engineering, general metalworking, steel, medical, electronics, and OEMs. The candidate would work closely managing our relationships with traditional industrial distributors, national distributors, and integrators. Territory geography encompasses the west central Ohio area anchored by Columbus and Dayton; and stretches west to the Indiana state line, and north to Lima. No overnight travel is required. The position requires an individual with a technical background in Bonded, Superabrasives, Coated, and Surface Finishing, as well as excellent organizational skills, are required. Interested candidates should have proven sales record managing either geographical industrial accounts or Specific End-user accounts. Strong technical background in Bonded, Superabrasives, Coated, and Surface Finishing, as well as excellent organizational skills, are required. The incumbent should have an undergraduate degree in business or an engineering discipline, or comparable work experience. This position requires a person who is highly motivated, who works well with others and can manage a complex territory with limited supervision. A minimum of 3 years of value-added technical sales experience in all abrasive applications would be very desirable attributes for individuals who are interested in this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web applications, Salesforce CRM, PSP, and contact management and other forms of data analysis is necessary. This territory offers access to nearby metropolitan and open-country amenities. Fine dining, hunting, or shopping can be had on the same weekend. Division 1 college sports are omnipresent, and the area is passionate about their teams. Columbus is a very vibrant area with an affordable cost of living, an abundance of amenities, affordable housing, and top-notch healthcare access. Business in this area is currently extremely healthy, developing, and growing, particularly with large investments from Intel and the electronics industry. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 0% with a max of 65% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
