Sales Supervisor/Territory Manager - Industrial Sales (Kansas City, MO)
This position is responsible for a full range of sales activities associated with customers in a Business Development position. This role will also manage one Key Foundry account in the geography. This sales role covers a geography in Kansas and Western Missouri. Collaboration with our distributor partners (both independent and national) is critical to succeeding in this territory, and it includes planning, joint sales calls, merchandising, and hands-on training. This is a high-profile territory within the Saint-Gobain organization that will give the salesperson visibility within the sales organization and provide ample opportunity for sales success and promotion into larger positions. Key measures of performance are sales vs. set targets, profitability, relationship building, proposing and implementing sales growth programs, and uncovering, developing, and growing new opportunities. Cost-saving activities and documentation are also requirements of the role. This position requires a unique individual with high energy, who is self-motivated along with a demonstrated track record of success. The incumbent should have proven sales and marketing skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.- Proven analytical, negotiating, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary.- This means the incumbent must be skilled at working with and cultivating relationships with distribution through the region.- Key account selling involves complex buying decisions, data analysis, merchandising, and overall knowledge of manufacturers in the industrial marketplace.- The incumbent must be capable using all Microsoft Office software, web applications, contact management database software, and other forms of data mining and analysis. The territory covers Kansas and Western Missouri. A geographic location would be the Kansas City Metro area or Lawerence, KS. Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 0% with a max of 65% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
