The Role

 

Sales Assistant
At the direction of the contributing Sales Representative and Regional Sales Leadership, the Sales Assistant will partner in all dutiesrelated to account support, management and business development that are not deemed current responsibilities of existing Co-workers including but not limited to CRPMs, CSRs, Buyers, and Planners.
 

Summary of Role and How You’ll Fit In
In this role, you will interact with Coworkers, Customers and Vendors to ensure the Sales Representative will be able to meet the customers’ needs for total packaging solutions.
 

This position reports to the: Director of Sales
Travel Requirement: 20% of Travel Required/Frequency
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
 

Key Responsibilities
The Sales Assistant will play an important role in the day to day support of the Sales Team and the management overseeing the organization. The role will schedule appointments, provide pertinent information to clients, and general office support as needed and assigned.
 

Revenue, Budget or Expenditure directly managed by this role 3-5 areas of responsibility/accountability preferred Assist in aged inventory/AR communication with customers Visit customers to address delivery/quality concerns Review Customer Profitability Reports to create proposed solutions on negative/low profit accounts. Update and maintain customer specific order forms to reflect current pricing Enter and help maintain the Sales Reps’ pipeline with current active projects Lead critical projects initiated by Sales Rep and Customers from initial concept to completion Review Customer Material Reports to identify opportunities to increase margin (pricing, costing, deviations, trends, etc.) Review Sales reports to anticipate potential shifts in business to reduce churn Review & escalate emails while the Sales Rep is traveling or in front of customers Assists in providing product, design, promotion and pricing information to customers Assist with Vendor managed inventory Responsible for coordinating customer status meetings, assigning action items and follow up Provides direction for customer critical product and service expedites Assist in identifying alternative solutions through samples and other materials Prepare sales presentations and samples for meetings Attend all Sales Meetings, understand all new initiatives that impact customers Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School education or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 year experience supporting a Regional Sales Team in a fast paced environment.

 

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively as a team player with a diverse group of co-workers. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to details and willingness to take initiative are required. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent grammar and writing skills required. Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required.
