Leadership is not tied to a job title, i.e. you don’t need to be accountable for a team to be considered a leader. **The Role** **Sales Assistant** The Sales Assistant will play an important role in the day-to-day support of the Sales Consultant and the Sales Management overseeing the organization. The role will perform vendor managed inventory, compile orders, communicate pertinent information to Sales Consultants and customers as well as provide general office support as needed and assigned. This position reports to: Director of Sales Travel Requirement: 50% of Travel Required/Frequency FLSA Status: Non-exempt - (Part-Time) **Key Responsibilities** + Perform vendor managed inventory. + Submit orders based on VMI. + Assist in aged inventory/AR communications with customers. + Visit customers to address delivery/quality concerns. + Update and maintain customer specific order forms to reflect current items and pricing. + Review sales reports for order accuracy and expediting needs. + Review custom inventory reports for accurate stock levels, expediting needs, and to identify opportunities to improve profitability. + Provide direction for customer critical product expedites. + Review and escalate emails while Sales Consultant is traveling or in front of customers. + Assist in providing alternative solutions through samples and other materials. + Prepare sales presentations and samples for meetings. + Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned **Requirements** **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School education or equivalent is required. + The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 year experience supporting a Regional Sales Team in a fast paced environment. **Additional Required Qualifications:** + Ability to work effectively as a team player with a diverse group of co-workers. + Excellent organizational skills with high attention to details and willingness to take initiative are required. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent grammar and writing skills required. + Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required. **Physical Demands & Work Environment** + Refer to Job Analysis The physical demands and work environment are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essentialduties.
