Summary Provides leadership to the team responsible for the daily activities of the operational sales support and customer service functions to support sales initiatives. Oversees workflow of business processing including the preparation of monthly sales statistics, new customer set up, sales order process, price list management, customer invoice and order entry. Duties and Responsibilities + Manage, lead and support the daily activities of the sales support & customer relations team + Partner with sales and other functional leaders to determine and meet ongoing needs + Provide sales support to selected senior VPs + Collaborate with procurement to resolve inventory shortages and proper location of products + Work with supply chain to find freight efficiencies and on time deliveries + Responsible for maintaining a level of exceptional customer service + Oversees resolution of customer requests or issues; handles & resolves complex situations + Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives + Responsible for hiring, managing performance and employee development of team members + Oversee broker relationships including contracts and monthly statements + Manage data synchronization file (FSE) process as required by customers + Ensure & execute timely completion of external & internal reporting + Maintain EDI system & balance the workload in customer service queue + Oversee & participate in price increases, allocations, and deviations + Partner with sales & supply chain team to manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory Qualifications Required qualifications, skills, and experience for the job; education background, certifications, relevant work experience, technical skills, and soft skills. + College Degree or equivalent experience + 5+ years of sales support and/or customer service experience with management responsibilities; food industry experience strongly preferred + Proven ability to lead and think strategically + Critical thinking & problem solving skills + Strong project planning, organizational skills and follow through + Excellent external and internal communication skills, team player and positive “can do” approach + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related business systems The Best Cheese Moments are EMMI ROTH Moments!
