Sales Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the Sales organization by providing primarily technical, but also commercial assistance throughout the proposal and order process. With your expertise in product specifications and application-related customer consulting, you are a key contact for customers alongside the front end sales team, handling various technical and commercial matters. Your expertise will help in shaping customized solutions that align with both technical requirements and business goals.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Friedberg (Hessen).You will be mainly accountable for:• Supporting sales in technical and commercial requests and assisting in the preparation of customer-specific offers.• Reviewing customer inquiry documents, discussing requirements with sales and customers.• Advising customers on new products and solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships.• Coordinating with ABB Supply Units in Sweden, the Czech Republic, and China to ensure a smooth ordering process.• Managing delivery schedules and resolving technical and commercial inquiries in close collaboration with suppliers and customers.• Supporting internal teams by providing market insights and contributing to process improvements.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Understanding of technical and commercial sales processesFirst experience in sales support, ideally with experience in robotics or a related technical field.Extensive knowledge in customer relationship management.You are passionate about customer engagement and problem-solving, with strong analytical and organizational skills.Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field, with relevant experience.You are at ease communicating fluently in both English and GermanWillingness to travel up to 20% of working time for customer visits
