Sales Director
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:Preparation of technical/commercial Brownfield /Service offers based on customer requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives. Be the single interface towards customer / Local Divisions and ensure timely and proactive communication.Responsible for the bid during the whole sales phase, from lead until winning the order.Set up and collaboration with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes, and Insurance.Use experience and understanding to add to the Bid plans and decision making along as the tendering process evolves.Coordinate with procurement team and maintain support from internal and third- party suppliers.Analyze project proposals cost plans and prepare for risk review.Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to Sales organization.Prepare win/loss analysis for the bids prepared.Bid Process compliance.Deliver high quality bid documentation meeting bid timelines
Qualifications for the roleEngineering Degree / Diploma (Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Instrumentation & Control)Minimum 5 / 8 years’ experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Safety PLC/Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries.Knowledge of any one of ABB automation products like 800xA/ Harmony / Advant is preferable.Experience in bid preparation for DCS / PLC install base upgrade / evolution / expansion will be an advantage.Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive
