Sales Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.The work model for the role is: #Li-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tOffering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.•\tPerforming analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.•\tPreparation of technical/commercial greenfield solution offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives. •\tBe the single interface towards customer / Local Divisions and ensure timely and proactive communication•\tResponsible for the bid during the whole sales phase, from lead until winning the order. Set up and collaboration with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes, and Insurance.•\tUse experience and understanding to add to the Bid plans and decision making along as the tendering process evolves. Coordinate with procurement team and maintain support from internal and third- party suppliers•\tAnalyze project proposals cost plans and prepare for risk review. Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to Sales organization.•\tPrepare win/loss analysis for the bids prepared. Bid Process compliance. Deliver high quality bid documentation meeting bid timelines.

Qualifications for the role

\tMinimum 10 years’ experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Safety PLC/Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries.\tExperience in handling MAC / Turnkey bids would be an added advantage.\tExperience from engineering and project execution is an advantage.\tKnowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive. \tKnowledge of ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus will have advantage
