Compensation Range
Hourly: $23.20 - $30.75 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to market our account receivable and payment processing services to create growth and value for a variety of organizations/industries.
Essential Functions
Ability to train and collaborate with teams and clients in our suite of small business solutions
Target new clients in receivables/payments business through prospecting efforts to set table for higher value referrals
Support our Account Executives in successful targeting, technical selling, closing opportunities and follow-up post sale
Trouble shoot receivable tools to expand conversation (sell more solution functionality after go live)
Utilize Merchant/Payments sales experience in a variety of industries and learn suite of products that Commerce brings to market space
Generate pricing models to make margin and profitability decisions real time
Complete paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction using workflow automation and DocuSign in variety of client settings
Meet commitments for reaching annual sales, profit, cross-selling and referral goals
Consult with clients on account receivable strategies including technical training to show how Commerce solutions provide value
Take a continued learning mindset for creative sales approach
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Working banking, sales, or Merchant Services/Payments knowledge as it pertains to account expansion, retention, competition, pricing, and complex industry trends and regulations; including knowledge of best practices
Ability to learn and train around our preferred SMB receivable tools such as Hyfin and Clover
Ability to understand underwriting requirements and risk profiling required in a financial institution
Ability to handle complex industry and technical sales situations
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to drive strategic business unit goals to the bottom line while maintaining customer satisfaction
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the leadership, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly and apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
4+ years Merchant Services or Business to Business (B2B) sales experience required
Payable or receivables product sales or Account Receivables experience preferred
Small Business Portfolio experience preferred
Salesforce CRM experience preferred
