Summary: Responsible for ensuring a company complies with sales and use tax regulations. Hybrid/Remote: + This position is primarily remote, with onsite work required as needed and/or a minimum of one Wednesday per month. Work Schedule: + Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. There may be some flexibility with the start and end times. Responsibilities: + Ensure that all applicable customer sales tax exemption documents are current and accurate at all times + Maintain accurate records of sales tax documents in Vertex (tax system) + Work with New Accounts team on account set-ups that require “special” tax handling + Work with customers on tax issues + Approve customer sales tax credits + Assist with sales tax audits and tax returns as needed Additional Duties + Other related duties and special projects as assigned + Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload Qualifications/Requirements: + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field + Two years of sales tax working experience in a reseller environment + Ability to interact with customers on a routine basis + Ability to handle confrontational situations + Some knowledge of tax concepts (sales / use, corporate) + Maintain a high degree of confidentiality + Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment + Exhibits sound judgment and problem-solving abilities + Familiarity with Vertex, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Office + Ability to acclimate to diverse software and ERP systems such as Vertex, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and familiarity of Microsoft Office products + Exceptional communication + Exceptional attention to detail #LI-BH1 #M1 Ref: #706-IT York System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
