What You Can Expect
This role partners cross-functional stakeholders (Sales leaders, Downstream Marketing, Product Managers, and Global Learning & Development) to understand and address the needs of the ZB Sales Team to develop comprehensive training programs that address known gaps and align with the Company’s strategic vision. This includes training on the market, products, competition, surgical techniques, selling skills, etc. Training programs for sales associates include all levels of competency from the training of new hires to advanced or seasoned representatives. This role will specifically support Zimmer Biomet’s Upper Extremities, Sports Medicine, and Technology Data Solutions (TDS) business units.
How You'll Create Impact Develop, implement, and conduct interactive sales training programs, targeted primarily to the sales representatives within the US Sales Organization. Serve as primary point of contact for Zete Performance within each assigned territory, including partnering to produce personalized onboarding plans for new sales hires.Coordinates territory and regional training classes, webinars, and workshops, partnering with subject matter experts as necessary.Ensure training program application and facilitation is within budget by optimizing resources and technology while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.Consults with interdepartmental teams, including Instructional Designers, to remain current in emergent, adult learning practices and ensure a program’s value is measured and aligned to key performance indicators, such as satisfaction, sales growth, utilization, etc.Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through multitude of learner assessments and modify training in response and changing needs.Provide constructive feedback and coaching to learners within the program. What Makes You Stand Out Must have a demonstrated aptitude and desire for training adults. Must practice sound principles of performance-based systematic instructional design to achieve desired outcomes.Must have the expertise (or the ability to gain expertise quickly) to train in the assigned business areas through the lens of both product and selling.Innate problem solver, self-starter, and highly organized.Must gain and hold the respect of the field sales force and marketing.Proven budget management experience as well as organizational and project management skills given aggressive timelines. Must be able to effectively coach during sales training classes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to measure impact of training through data analysis and evaluation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.Must be able to work with a high level of emotional intelligence, including demonstration of good business judgment and collaborative teamwork.Your Background Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline is required with 6+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience, required.MBA preferred. 5+ years of success sales experience in Extremities and Sports Medicine and/or facilitation skills in medical device industry preferred. The salary range for this role is $115,000-$143,000 + additional earnings available through bonus
