team. This is a project to support all Operating Companies of Client 

Group as we move all operating companies to a single ATS (applicant 

tracking system).

The Test Engineer will work as a member of the Front Office Team of 

Client Information Systems (IS). Work as a key member of the Delivery 

Team to understand requirements and technical solutions under test. 

Work with testers, developers and SME’s to understand the business 

domain, and the system functionality. Identify, plan, design and develop 

test that will enable the team to quickly deliver quality results using agile 

development and testing practices. Collaborate with Automation tester 

to assist and support Automation.

The Tester performs tasks related to the inspection and testing of 

hardware and/or software to ensure quality standards are met. Develops 

new and edits existing quality control processes for continuous 

improvement. Determines innovative methods to remedy functional and 

technical problems. Monitors trends in failures and malfunctions to verify 

consistency of designs.

Conducts quality control tests and analyses to ensure that all 

information systems products and services meet minimum organization 

standards. Monitors product and service testing to validate quality 

before implementation. Follows problem management process to 

evaluate and resolve problems related to quality. Develops and 

implements testing methodology to maintain continuous improvement of 

quality assurance standards.

Candidates for this position have expanded beyond practical 

applications of the discipline to knowledge gained from guiding how 

Client should apply the principles and concepts within the discipline and 

interpreting the complexities of the discipline.

Essential Functions:

• Performs tests in adherence to organization’s testing methodology and 

processes.

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures 

• Work with the Developers, Testers and Analysts to understand the 

specific needs of the project/product for testing.

• Create level of effort (LOE) and duration estimates for own assigned 

work and review the LOEs of other test engineers. Proactively manage 

activities to meet those expectations.

• Identify Test Cases; participate in test case review/discussions; 

participate in user story mapping, project walk-throughs, sprint planning 

and estimation.

• Prepare Testing artifacts as needed, such as Test Plan, Test Strategy,

• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively and in terms that

Desired Skills / Special Requirements of the job: 

• Strong testing skills 

• Strong QTP or UFT skills 

• Agile experience 

• Experience with Unit test frameworks (jUnit, nUnit) 

• Strong HP QC or HP ALM skills including requirements and reporting 

• Ability to manage time, multi-task, and meet deadlines working in a 

demanding environment

• Strong team player 

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

Dress code is business casual. Expected to work at least 40 hours a 

week and the core hours are from 9-5pm.
