You will provide consulting services to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of Salesforce applications. Salesforce Functional Manual Tester – 3+ Years Experience

Job Level: Associate (3-5 Years) / Senior Associate (3+ Years)

Education:

BE / B.Tech / B.Sc / MCA / M.Sc / M.E / M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Job Summary:

The Salesforce Functional Manual Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing Salesforce solutions, strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of Salesforce testing best practices.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to design, execute, and maintain manual test cases while ensuring proper test coverage across various Salesforce modules like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and customized applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution:

Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.Execute unit, functional, smoke, integration, UAT, and regression testing for Salesforce applications.Ensure thorough test coverage across different Salesforce modules and integrations.Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.

Agile & Collaboration:

Work in an Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and align testing strategies accordingly.Provide continuous feedback to the development team to improve product quality.

Salesforce Testing Best Practices:

Validate Apex classes, triggers, workflows, process builders, flows, and other customizations.Perform UI, functional, API testing (via Postman, SOAP UI, or Workbench) and data validation.Test Salesforce security models, profiles, roles, and sharing rules.Execute cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.Ensure compliance with Salesforce release management and best practices.

Defect Management & Reporting:

Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA, ALM, or TestRail.Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Report QA metrics and test results to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Salesforce QA/Tester in a manual testing capacity.Strong understanding of Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe Agile) with hands-on involvement in Agile ceremonies.Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning UI testing and validation.Hands-on experience with test case management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.Ability to create and execute SQL/SOQL queries for data validation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce certifications like Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder nice to have.Experience with Salesforce deployment processes using Change Sets, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps tools. Is plus
