TITLE: Salon Supervisor 

LOCATION: Cliff Spa 

STATUS: Hourly plus commission, Full-time, Year-round 

SCHEDULE: 8-hour shifts may vary between 8:30am to 7:30pm, 4-5 days/week. Weekends and holidays required. 

SUMMARY 

Work and play up in the mountains! Snowbird is looking for a Salon/Esthetics Supervisor to work in one of the most picturesque mountain destinations in Utah. Under the direction of the Spa Director and Assistant Spa Director, you will support a team of skilled cosmetologists and estheticians, ensure a clean, organized, and well-staffed environment, track client satisfaction and inventory needs, and provide guests with the highest level of customer service and professionalism for a world class resort spa experience. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Keep full-time availability for guest appointments. Perform services in an exemplary manner regarding quality, timeliness, and professionalism. Train new and existing staff, update protocol sheets as necessary, and act as an ongoing resource for treatment knowledge. Organize workshops to keep staff as educated as possible to elevate customer service. Continue personal education to remain current in the field and offer innovative ideas for departmental growth.Create salon staff schedules. Review vacation and time off requests and approve or deny as appropriate to business needs.Keep accurate inventory of necessary supplies and submit order requests in a timely manner. Ensure supplies are kept in organized and sanitary surroundings. Assist with retail inventory on a regular basis.Participate in weekly management meetings, hold regular salon team meetings, and attend any Snowbird staff and management team meetings that may be required.Ensure excellent customer service standards in interactions with all guests and staff.Assist all Spa departments with areas that need help. Lead by example. 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE 

High School Diploma or equivalent required.Cosmetology and/or Esthetics License.2-3 years' experience in a high-volume salon or spa.Must be willing and able to perform all services under license and be able to facilitate training on all salon and esthetics services on the current Spa menu.Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent guest service, listening and oral communication skills, and conflict management and dispute resolution skills. 

 

WORK SCHEDULE 

Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays. Schedules vary based on business levels. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, at occasional times of road closures. May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. Must have ability to remain calm and focused on quality customer service in a sometimes stressful environment with last-minute changes and high expectations. Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.
