The Role:
We are seeking a Saltwater Sampling Technician to join our Marine Health and Operations Team based out of Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick. Support regular monthly weight sampling on Marine Farms, requiring to travel to various locations as needed. Reporting to the Marine Health and Operations Specialist.
Primary Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
+ Operate and maintain sophisticated electronic sampling equipment such as Biomass scanners.
+ Support training of site crews on sampling, methods, maintenance, and use of sample equipment.
+ Arrange sample schedule with site managers and ensure samples get completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
+ Process and analyze sample data to ensure the quality of the samples and forward the information to the appropriate people.
+ Perform biosecurity audits on harvest vessels as required.
+ Assist Fish Health team as required.

Working Conditions:
+ Outside marine environment and office environment
+ Travel to other locations may be required.
+ Minimal Supervision.
Qualifications:
+ Good working knowledge of Atlantic salmon and salmon farming
+ Comfortable working in a marine environment and operating small vessels.
+ Good Computer Skills
+ Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
+ Flexibility and good Decision-Making Skills
