JOB SUMMARY:

Supports Sample Order Department and Quality by compounding production controls and library samples. Supports the flavor shelf-life initiative with responsibility for pulling and placing samples into appropriate storage conditions. Coordinate raw material requests from Savory R&D labs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately compounds a broad range of flavors such emulsions, extracts, and liquid mixtures from formulations provided in support of both Quality and customer sample requests.Conducts physical, chemical and organoleptic testing as appropriate on flavors compounded.Maintains a safe and professional laboratory environment; complies with government and company safety directives. Maintains equipment and organizes inventory of both raw materials and finished flavors.Co-ordinate’s replenishment of raw materials.Utilizes good communication skills, both written and oral; enters and maintains accurate and thorough records as required. Manages shelf-life testing of flavorsCompletes tasks in timely fashion according to priorities provided Performs other duties as assigned to support needs of business.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

High School Diploma or GED requiredMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand frequentlyMust use required personal protective equipment which may include use of a respirator
