We are seeking a Sample Management Supervisor to support our new, state of the art laboratory. This lab is slated to test over 4 million samples annually. Reporting into the Technical Operations Manager, this position will reviews information that has been entered into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure it accurately reflects the laboratory requirements. You will maintain and expand knowledge of new or revised requirements and perform follow up actions to notify individuals when information is inaccurate and offers guidance on corrections.

Hours for this position will be 3pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday.

Manages and coordinates receipt and processing of samples through to discard. Assists Sample Management staff and laboratory staff with understanding requirements for LIMS
information. Has expertise in all of the sample receipt and accessioning tasks, including: opening, entering,
tracking, labeling, shipping, and disposition of samples. Performs follow-up actions with Sample Management staff to review and correct errors.  Responsible for reviewing and assigning work.  Researches, troubleshoots, and follows up on customer inquiries and problems. Troubleshoots and assists department employees in resolving problems. Keeps Supervisor
informed. Maintains and expands an extensive working knowledge of how and what information must be
entered into LIMS to ensure that requirements are met. Identifies trends or recurring errors and recommend preventative actions to the manager.  Customer service skills including attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and communication
skills. Good documentation skills.  Effective conflict resolution skills. Performs other duties, as assigned by Laboratory Technical Operations Manager. This is What It Takes: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Degree in a laboratory science, or
medical laboratory technology is preferred. 1-2 years of directly related experience in Sample Management, Laboratory operations or
equivalent. Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Ability to work independently. Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to be flexible to changing priorities, and to
handle multiple tasks. Ability to schedule and plan workloads, implement systems and projects that align with strategic
objectives of the company. Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment. Understanding of
regulatory compliance and basic quality systems under CLIA, GMP ISO, or related standards. Willingness to work diverse shifts and overtime, as required. On-call rotation required. Do Satisfying Work.
