2020 Companies has a full-time remote Business Data Analyst opportunity representing our client, Samsung Electronics America.

Salary Starts at:  $75,000 plus 10% incentive paid quarterly

Job Description:

Develop and maintain sales forecasting/reporting for National Retail categories, including sell-in and sell-out 

Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and recommended areas/solutions for improvement 

Analyze internal and external client organizations' business issues and data challenges in a retail environment  

Offer system training and report-writing services to ensure maximum utilization of existing tools 

Review and edit user requirements, specifications, and business process flow and recommend relevant solutions  

Support weekly and ad hoc promotion simulations, as needed  

Conduct Monthly Postmortem on Program/Product Promotions 

Support daily sales reporting during critical drive times (e.g., Product Launch)  

Provide analysis and insight into the development of quarterly plans, strategic initiatives, and Executive level presentations 

Partner cross-functionally with ME and NC planning teams to develop and implement cross-category dashboards that enhance full MX metrics visibility 

Develop functional specifications and system design specifications to drive development and testing 

Formalize business case development, project planning, and presentations to management for approval   

Advise stakeholders and management of progress, risk indicators, and mitigation efforts 

Performance Measurements: 

Sales performance: Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to revenue growth 

Completion of projects, change requests, and reports by promised date 

Adherence to financial budgets of projects and outside services

Delivery and acceptance of requested functional capabilities 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in relevant programs: business, analytics, economics, etc. 

Minimum of 3 years experience gathering and analyzing data 

Proficiency in Excel, Power BI (or similar BI tool), Power Query, and PowerPoint  

Analytically minded with excellent problem-solving skills 

Knowledge of data query, cleaning, and transformation  

Ability to interpret, visualize, and deliver clear and concise recommendations to key stakeholders 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Team player mentality 

Ability to adapt to a client-driven work environment 

Coding skills in SQL, Python, and/or R  

Proficient in statistical analysis platforms 

Comfortable presenting to GM and Senior Director level leadership
