Responsibilities Acts as an "alter ego" to the Supervisory Site Director and fully shares in the direction, responsibility, and authorization regarding decisions for the organization. Serves as the principal advisor to the Site Director in accomplishment of responsibilities including but not limited to day-to day business operations, administration, morale, facilities engineering. Serves as the principal advisor to the Site Director in accomplishment of responsibilities including but not limited to operations and maintenance, public safety, and real property management/accountability. Ensures a continuing affirmative application of DLA policies concerning equal opportunity. Evaluates subordinate supervisors or leaders and serves as the reviewing official making personnel decisions. Develops policies and oversees assigned programs resolving operational problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Planning, organizing, evaluating, directing, and coordinating operations through subordinate supervisors Managing multiple projects simultaneously and evaluating short and long-term goals in areas such as centralized business management, real property accountability, Public Safety, Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Operations and Maintenance, facilities and industrial engineering management, safety and occupational health, and environmental protection Directing and supervising the work of technical, administrative, and professional employees engaged in providing a range of major support services An in-depth knowledge and demonstration of Operations and Maintenance, Welfare and Recreation, facilities and industrial engineering management, and Public Safety Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
