Sanctions FIU Investigations Lead
**Summary:** Meta is seeking a highly-organized and detail-oriented candidate with extensive Sanctions Compliance experience to join the Meta FinTech Compliance Sanctions Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as a Sanctions FIU Investigations Lead. Working closely with the Sanctions FIU Manager, the role will be responsible for leading some of the FIU’s most complex investigations and projects and will partner with the Sanctions FIU Manager on enhancing the team’s investigative scope and capabilities. The role requires extensive experience conducting complex and platform-wide Sanctions Compliance investigations and presenting the results of your investigation to a variety of audiences to include the Head of Sanctions Compliance, Chief Compliance Officer, among other Meta leaders. You will assess and analyze large amounts of data in order to identify sources of potential threats and abuses, operate independently in a fast-paced environment, and proactively collaborate with teams across the company. **Required Skills:** Sanctions FIU Investigations Lead Responsibilities: 1. Conduct complex investigations involving large amounts of data across a variety of parties subject to global sanctions regulations 2. Draft detailed case narratives documenting your investigative work and highlighting the sanctions/compliance risk identified through the investigation 3. Present to Compliance and Legal leadership on the results of investigations and the sanctions/compliance risk identified 4. Apply analytical skills to complex information sets in order to make logical and supported recommendations 5. Support Sanctions Compliance by driving data-driven innovation and solutions 6. Lead a variety of projects to improve the Sanctions Compliance Program 7. Support the Sanctions FIU Manager in enhancing the FIU’s investigative scope and capabilities 8. Stay up-to-date with changes to sanctions regulations and laws, as well as emerging trends and best practices in sanctions compliance 9. Manage and support special and ad-hoc projects to maintain and/or enhance the sanctions compliance program 10. Apply sanctions regulatory knowledge and analytics skills to assessing emerging risks and incorporating solutions into the FIU investigative framework 11. Provide guidance and training within the FIU and to other teams within Meta on sanctions compliance investigative policies and procedures 12. Develop cross-functional partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to enhance investigative processes and minimize risk 13. Producing timely and accurate management reports to assist decision making processes within the team and cross functionally 14. Monitoring trends and patterns across Meta’s payment environment to identify potential risk and taking appropriate action to mitigate such risks 15. Interact with Engineering, Technology, Product, and Legal teams to partner on solutions to optimize the sanctions compliance program at Meta 16. Interact with other teams to continually drive sanctions investigative innovation and compliance 17. Interact with Management and cross-functional partners to raise awareness of Sanctions Compliance related trends, emerging issues, remedial actions or potential enhancements impacting the Sanctions Compliance Program 18. Independently manage multiple analyses at once while effectively prioritizing time 19. Work with graphic and sensitive content on a regular basis 20. Work independently under high-pressure situations and make sound decisions with little supervision **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 21. 10+ years of professional experience in Sanctions Compliance investigations, AML Compliance investigations, law enforcement investigations or intelligence 22. Experience working on proactive investigations that did not originate from an automated alert 23. Experience working with sensitive issues that include graphic violence, a variety of religious and political views, and adult content 24. Subject matter knowledge on global sanctions programs 25. Experience and inclination to protect highly confidential information 26. Experienced communication skills demonstrated through briefings to various stakeholders **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 27. 5+ years of experience conducting Sanctions Compliance investigations for a regulatory agency, law enforcement agency or financial services 28. Experience conducting open source investigations and/or investigations on behalf of a technology company 29. Experience with SQL 30. Analytical and investigative skills combined with knowledge to quickly assess large amounts of data in order to detect critical and credible information 31.
