JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assessing patient and family health problems and resources and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcome evaluations of the plan of care provided by the nursing team. Duties also include providing direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Blessing Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process and Patient Safety Plan.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
+ Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
+ 1-year RN experience
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Well-developed written and oral presentation skills
+ Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills including crucial conversations
+ Highly organized, prioritizes with good time management skills
+ Ability to meet project timelines and deadlines
+ Performs adequate physical assessment of patients
+ Ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare team and members of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
+ Current RN Illinois license in good standing
+ BLS certification upon hire and required to remain current
+ Earn 10 Continuing Education Credits annually related to sexual assault/abuse care, advancement in technology and innovations within the specialty
+ Adult/Adolescent SANE and/or Pediatric/Adolescent SANE certificate of completion within 12 months of hire
+ Certified SANE-A or Certified SANE-P as soon as eligible (preferred)
Pay Status:
+ Non-Exempt Hourly
+ On-call pay per organizational pay structure
+ $250 per Illinois State Police Evidence Collection Kit (ISPECK) and/or forensic exam completion
