Job Description
Conagra Brands in Humboldt, Tennessee, is looking for a Sanitation employee to join a team of 60 employees making ice cream toppings, fruit fillings and salsa for consumers across the world. Reporting to The Quality Manager onsite at our Humboldt Plant, you will join a high-performing team that has a long tenure at the plant. We are well-known within the community for our partnerships with schools, community events (Strawberry Festival) and more.
Primary responsibilities
Ensure all equipment and utensils used in the manufacture of product is returned to sanitary conditions based on line requirements at the end of a production run.
Pump chemical, rinse and sanitizer through all lines run.
Calculate appropriate chemical concentrations for the application and supply to the point of use.
Use Floor scrubber and empty and rinse all trash hoppers, waste drums/totes
Inspect Coolers and Freezers for debris and spills
Empty Lab waste and trash. Ensure cans remain in sanitary condition.
Chemical Inventory. (First and Last day of week)
Clean Compactor area and Chemical Cage (Once a week or as needed)
Clean debris from drain baskets (Once a week)
Clean and fill all foot cleaning stations and place Sani Step at ramp or ensure foamer is filled (Daily)
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR ROLE:
Will use to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
Can work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Must know how to use a calculator and have basic math skills
Can stand and walk for extended period of time.
Must understand the “Good Manufacturing Procedures.
Must know SDS information about all materials used within the scope of the work.
Can train and lead others.
Collaborate across multiple levels and departments both internal and external to the plant.
Must participate in company & regulatory trainings.
Must meet performance standards for the job
Must communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
Physical:
Standing, climbing, bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, reaching, walking, work in wet conditions, work in hot temperatures
Education:
High School diploma or proof of GED
OTHER:
This is an hourly position with a normal working schedule from Sunday – Thursday 4 pm - midnight. However, the owner’s schedule needs to meet the business needs (i.e. training, info shares, investigations, root cause reviews, additional run dates, etc.)
