Job Summary: In this role, the sanitation team members are responsible for the cleanliness of the facility. They will practice proper cleaning techniques and safety protocol by using approved chemicals to wash and disinfect surfaces, sanitize all components of our food production and processing equipment’s. The sanitation team members are expected to be active participants in all aspects of the cleanup and washing of the floors and ensure that all areas in the building is clean and organize. You maybe ask to restock PPE stations to ensure the readiness of all operational areas and hand washing stations so that all employees can comply with the GMPs, since we provide consumable products for sale and distribution to the schools and others, we expect you to report any potential contamination issues to your manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Use approved chemicals to wash and disinfect machines, equipment parts, food contact surfaces, utensils, etc. The ability to learn and execute the operation of cleaning equipment in a safe and efficient manner Wash and sanitize food processing equipment, bread trays and trash bins. Disposed of food waste, garbage and recycling daily throughout the building, abiding by the company “Green Waste” recycling program. Maintain a food safety environment, complying with Revolution Foods, the State and Federal policies. Adhere to GMP by maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment (Dry floors, proper knife storage, etc.). Sweep and mop the floors and stairs Refilled chemical containers Report potential issues to management Keep all cleaning equipment clean and sanitize Follow the master sanitation chart at all times All other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as needed.Required Experience and Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in a time-sensitive environmentRequired Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Ability to communicate and read labels in English Knowledge of SSOPs in manufacture facility preferred Able to work with others or independent Knowledge of safe and proper sanitation procedures in a manufacturing setting highly preferredPhysical Requirements Include, but are not limited to:
Ability to stand frequently Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs Ability to bend, twist and perform hand and arm motions Ability to work in refrigerated environment Ability to work overnightWorking Conditions: Work is within a factory setting, with chilled temperatures Exposed to cold, wet, and damp conditions. All Preventive Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
Routinely lifts and carries objects weighing 25-50 pounds Prolonged standing and walking is routinely required. Routinely required to stand, walk, bend, carry, crouch, grasp, hold, kneel, lift , push/pull, reach, squat, stand, stoop, stretch, turn, twist, talk, listen and communicate with others.Base hourly compensation range:
