BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 4,500 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest. The Sanitation Lead will assist, train and coach team members in the daily cleaning and sanitation of the harvesting and packaging room and any other area assigned in our greenhouse in Lorena, TX.

Specifically, you will:

Assist with the onboarding and training of new hiresDaily cleaning of harvesting and packaging equipmentAssembling and dissembling specific machinery at the end of the product runPerform all duties on the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedulesFollow protocols for food safe environment in accordance with sanitation SOP’sSweep, clean and squeegee floors in greenhousePrepare the production floor for preoperational inspectionOther duties as assignedAdhere to all food safety guidelines, complete training as assigned, and report food safety problems to your supervisor or other member of management as soon as identifiedHelp foster a culture of safety and quality

The ideal candidate:   

Good attendanceBe able to get the job done with minimal supervisionAbility to stand for extended periods of timeLifting to occasionally 25 poundsBe able to work in a cold (37F) or hot (75F) environment throughout the day

Preferred Qualifications 

1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
