**Sanitation Lead** Repair/Maintenance & Installation Orange County, CA, US Pay Rate Low: 22 | Pay Rate High: 23 + Added - 17/01/2025 Apply for Job **Title:** Sanitation Lead **Compensation** : $23.00/hr **Location:** Fullerton, CA **Shift:** 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Contract to hire As a Sanitation Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards, and supporting the sanitation department's efforts to maintain high standards of food safety, product quality, and employee safety. Your leadership is essential in promoting a culture of continuous improvement. **Responsibilities:** + Work under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor and Sanitation Manager. + Oversee daily sanitation tasks and train sanitation technicians on proper SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures). + Maintain effective communication with upper management, production, maintenance, quality control, and warehouse departments. + Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, including dismantling and inspecting all processing and packaging equipment. + Be flexible and available to work overtime as needed. + Lead the sanitation team to prioritize and conduct sanitation tasks based on urgency. + Ensure proper record-keeping of all cleaning activities, including maintaining the master sanitation schedule. + Perform other duties as required. + Demonstrate critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues effectively. + Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Apply process-oriented approaches to ensure consistency and quality in sanitation practices. + Maintain effective teamwork and communication with subordinates. + Handle chemicals safely and read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). + Be mechanically inclined to perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance tasks. **Qualifications:** + At least 1 year of experience in a sanitation role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. + Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise sanitation technicians. + Demonstrated experience in adhering to Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with subordinates and upper management. + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure situations. + Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to handle chemicals safely and read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). + Mechanically inclined with experience in conducting preventative maintenance and inspecting processing and packaging equipment. + Proven ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. + Ability to maintain accurate records, including cleaning documentation and the master sanitation schedule.
