In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results on one or more of 6 stars model. You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check- adjust cycle and provide coaching and training for your team.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in helping us change how the world snacks. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed [e.g. safety maps, lock out tag out (LOTO) , behavior observation system (BOS) and root-cause analysis (RCA)], that quality assurance activities are performed to ensure zero harm and 100 percent good-quality products, and that resources are properly allocated and available during the shift. You will take the lead for shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.

Under the direction of the Quality Manager:

Lead the sanitation team (including 2 team captains and over 10 sanitarians)Work in safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards in the department and workplaceMust be able to prioritize work for maximum time effectiveness and efficiency, handle a number of situations at one timeUnderstand, execute and ensure compliance with Mondelez Quality Policies for sanitation, pest control, hygienic design, utilities and GMP  Develop, maintain, and monitor the site Master Sanitation Schedule on a routine basis, ensuring adherence to sanitation requirementsParticipate and review both internal and external audits performed at facility focusing on sanitation and pest control programsProactively prevent pest incidents at the siteRoutinely interact with other site counterparts to review policies and ensure best practices are established and followedAddress issues related to sanitation, pest control and environmental monitoring incidents in a timely manner to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.Must be able to function as part of a team, and work closely with Operations/ Maintenance/ Scheduling to effectively troubleshoot potential issues in a professional mannerDevelop productivity strategies that effectively lower controllable costs of sanitation labor and operating suppliesMust have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision.Perform other duties as required as assigned by the Quality Manager

What extra ingredients you will bring:

Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in food industry

Education / Certifications:

BSc Degree in Food Science or other technical field or equivalent years of related experience.

Travel requirements:

Very limited travel around the GTA

Work schedule:

Monday-Friday - Flexible shifts.  Team works midnight shift, candidate must adjust hours to start work early 2-3 days per week to interact with team (~6am)Off shift work may be necessary due to special projects or business demands.
