Sanitation Manager

Our client, a well known food manufacturer in Edison, NJ is looking for a Sanitation Manager to be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the production, warehouse, and distribution facilities in compliance with company policies, government regulations, and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage a master sanitation schedule in alignment with governmental, company, and customer standards.Assign and direct sanitation staff and contract employees to appropriate work tasks.Supervise the maintenance of cleanliness across all plant areas, including office, warehouse, and distribution centers.Develop and manage pest control programs.Formulate and manage appropriate chemical concentrations for cleaning and sanitizing tasks.Develop, maintain, and submit relevant records to meet regulatory requirements (EPA, food safety, etc.).Supervise sanitation team members, approve disciplinary actions, and participate in resolving conflicts and disputes.Ensure team members adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.Lead the development and enforcement of safety programs.Participate in accident investigations and root cause analysis.Serve on the Safety Committee and promote employee safety in all areas of operations.Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulic issues as they arise.Ensure the plant's internal and external appearance meets H&S Bakery standards.Qualifications & Certifications:
Certification by the Maryland Department of Agriculture (required).Food Service Manager Certification through Baltimore City (required).PCO Certification (Pesticide application/Baiting and Insect Identification) (required).Valid forklift operator license (required).Valid driver's license in the state of Maryland (required).Physical capability to access all areas of the plant, including climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and performing manual labor tasks such as bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.Strong communication skills with the ability to generate written and verbal reports.Ability to research, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.Proficient in using computers for generating detailed reports via spreadsheets, memos, and email.Pay and Shift:
Monday to Friday6:00 AM to 2:00 PM$80.000 - $85.000
