Sanitation Operator-CIP 3rd Shift

Purpose Statement

The CIP Operator will be responsible for sanitizing the production areas & utensils using chemicals and equipment per FDA guidelines.

 

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Disassembles and sets up all production equipment  Cleans all equipment using COP and CIP systems  Verifies the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipment  Puts away production and sanitation materials  Drives material handling equipment  Monitors/tests chemical concentration of all CIP systems  Maintains CIP SCADA database with real-time process data  Uses and completes data uploads, SSOP task completions, EMP tasks and other digital applications via a handheld table type device or a computer terminal  Documents necessary information on charts and CIP logs  Takes inventory of sanitation supplies  Partners with Quality’s use of bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems.  Responsible for performing tasks according to the plant Master Sanitation Schedule in Kleanz and Internal GMP audits  Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all Sanitation equipment  Responsible for safe handling of all Sanitation tools, chemicals and processes  Trains new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental Operations  Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines  Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork  Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Lead person  Required to accurately and fully communicate and document tasks, corrective actions, status updates and other vital information to appropriate Leaders and co-Associates  Will be required to train in other areas of the plant as required by the Skillblock program, which may include: Valve and Pump PM program. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required plus 1+ years of relevant (chemical handling and machine operation) experience preferred  Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal   Must have the ability to train other Associates in Sanitation/Environmental operations  Must have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team  Must become proficient on Rich’s SCADA system  Has an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines   Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines  Understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures  Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

The physical capabilities an associate must have to perform the essential functions of this position are:   Moderate to high degree of physical activity   Continuous standing and frequent walking  Frequent stair/ladder climbing   Somewhat frequent kneeling, crouching, bending  Works in wet environment  Works in high noise area  Works with potentially hazardous chemicals   May handle potentially hazardous equipment   Requires lifting not to exceed 55 lbs.
