We are hiring a Sanitation Supervisor - 3rd Shift in Florence KY for our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for providing leadership, technical expertise, and applied expertise to the sanitation team to deliver effective and efficient cleaning and sanitizing of the manufacturing facility and equipment. The incumbent will bring sanitation, food safety, and regulatory knowledge along with a continuous improvement mindset to meet customer, regulatory, and company expectations.

Responsibilities: 

Provides leadership and supervises all activities necessary for the cleaning and sanitizing of infrastructure and equipment (production & packaging equipment, tools, carts/forklifts/mobile units, etc.) within and around the facility(production, packaging, storage areas and support areas) in accordance with the master sanitation schedule.Responsible for teams to execute cleaning and sanitizing to an effective level as defined by verification methods(visual inspection, ATP, APC testing, ELISA testing, finished product coliform monitoring, etc.). Accountable to successfully execute based on defined metrics (% pass, % compliance, etc.).Responsible to understand and lead team to comply with all applicable regulations (USDA, FDA), customer requirements, and quality management systems (GMPs, SSOP standard sanitation operating procedures, HACCP Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).Coordinate work with operational stakeholders (operations departments, engineering, maintenance, PI&D) to effectively schedule cleaning and sanitation work that meets facility needs and executes cleaning & sanitation within agreed to timeframe.Monitors and provides report out to key stakeholders of sanitation performance as needed to verify guidelines and procedures, costing execution, personnel usage, and compliance to specifications. Provides and updates applicable documentation (Procedures, Master Sanitation, Standard Work, verification of cleaning/sanitation activities) that effectively meets customer, 3rd party, and regulatory audit program requirements.Coordinate and facilitate (as appropriate) training for all employees in the areas of personal safety, HACCP, GMPs, food regulations, and sanitation programs to ensure execution and appropriate documentation of quality management systems.Understand and manage chemical usage, inventory, and tracking to ensure safe and appropriate use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals that fully complies with all OSHA, applicable food regulatory requirements, and company/customer requirements.Supervise, train, and develop subordinates, as assigned.

Continuous Improvement Project Work to Improve Products and Processes:

Identify areas of need to drive greatest improvement in food safety, regulatory, and sanitation programs for the facility and sanitation team providing positive impact to plant driven metrics. Able to utilize and critically evaluate data from a variety of sources to identify root cause and lead teams towards improved processes and procedures.Partner with FSQ Manager and key stakeholders to maintain active work on prioritized list of projects focused on improving cleaning and sanitation programs, food safety & regulatory compliance, with regular updates on progress. Effectively leads projects to completion in timely manner with demonstrated results.Utilize internal and external sanitation, food safety & regulatory resources and report to FSQ & facility leadership on sanitation issues, trends and opportunities with the purpose of driving continuous improvement.Actively support continuous improvement activities and projects to deliver improved cleaning & sanitation execution, reduce waste, and increase efficiency and efficacy to impact the broader company and the FSQ/Sanitation Team. Where applicable, utilize CI tools (SPC, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of three years of related experience.Knowledge of various chemicals used in the sanitation process.Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).Ability to read, interpret, and execute against documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manual.Ability to compile information and develop/maintain routine reports and correspondence.Comfortable in small group and large group settings.Detail-oriented, ability to take initiative, and ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.Ability to solve problems ranging from basic to complex.Strong project management skills. Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and basic food regulatory requirements.Proven people management and delegation skills. Ability to develop positive relationships and work cross functionally.
