Your Opportunity as Sanitation Supervisor

Location:  Columbus, GA Hostess Manufacturing Plant

Work Arrangements: 100% on site, rotating days  2nd and 3rd shift

Report To:  Sanitation Manager

In this role you will:  

Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shiftEnsure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contaminationConduct inspections and initiate corrective action as neededPest control application as neededEnsure reports are properly maintained and completed timelyEvaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as neededEnsure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work policies and proceduresAssist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standardsEnsure a safe operation in compliance with all plant safety prevention programsComply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relationsCooperate with engineering and production departments with required maintenance of equipment and facilitiesPerform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned

What we are looking for:  

Minimum Requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent.4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.Willing to work rotating flexible hours, weekends, off shifts, etc.Work with cleaning and chemical agents and wear required PPE on a regular basis.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

Bachelor’s Degree, Food Science or Microbiology.Leadership experience.Capable of teaching, training, and sharing technical knowledge to operations employees.Effective Oral and Written CommunicationComputer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
