Description We are seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to join our team in the manufacturing industry in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our operations. Your duties will include leading the sanitation team, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing sanitation supplies and inventory.
Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the sanitation team ensuring adherence to safety protocols including chemical handling, PPE and OSHA guidelines.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment design to ensure proper sanitation and efficient startups.
• Collaborate with owners and facilities management teams to resolve issues and support operational facilities in their sanitation and cleaning needs.
• Develop and implement standards and procedures for the sanitation team, while providing continuous supervision, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain detailed records and daily logs of sanitation activities.
• Handle the department's stock and inventory control, including periodic inventories, requisitions, and order placements.
• Conduct daily inspections of facilities, evaluating cleanliness and physical conditions, and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Uphold strict compliance to all FDA and SQF safety protocols and procedures, contributing to food safety initiatives.
• Show proficiency in the operation of cleaning equipment and production machines.
• Display excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to train and mentor team members.
• Demonstrate process improvement skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and goal setting. Requirements
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English, at least able to have a basic conversation
Must be able to work 3rd shift!
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry
Looking for at least a year of food manufacturing industry experience
• Proven skills and experience in sanitation practices and procedures
• Demonstrable supervisory management experience, with a focus on leading teams effectively
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and guidelines, particularly in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices
• Proven experience in process improvement, with a track record of implementing changes that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
