Hours: M-F, 6am to 2:30pm
**Job Summary:**
**The Sanitation Technician is responsible for completing daily tasks to ensure that all warehouse and production areas at Client's are held to appropriate sanitation standards. Tasks include adherence to current good manufacturing practices and cleaning a variety of wet and dry environments. The employee will adhere to all Client's SOPs and policies to ensure that the employees are performing their job safely and that the feed is produced with animal safety and quality in mind.**
**Work schedule is 5/6 days per week. Hours may vary.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ **Coordinate various cleaning and sanitation functions within the facility**
+ **Take ownership of the sanitation program and accept responsibility for all aspects of the sanitation activities**
+ **Completion of associated documentation, maintaining sanitation chemical and equipment inventories and identifying areas of improvement.**
+ **Ensure cleanliness of the facility and structures, processing equipment and surrounding areas**
+ **Sanitation personnel understand procedures applicable to their position**
+ **Cultivate and promote a positive and innovative work environment**
+ **Sanitation personnel are trained and signed-off in use of PPE’s, appropriate lock-out tag-out procedures and safety**
+ **Estimate, maintain, requisition, and inspect materials or supplies as required**
+ **Manage and document sanitation activities**
+ **Recommend and implement procedures and measures to improve sanitation methods, equipment performance, and quality of product**
+ **Work closely with the Food Safety and QA Manager to assure that all safety protocols are adhered to when executing sanitation programs**
+ **Maintain all pertinent records, reports and paperwork as needed**
+ **Utilize new technology and processes to maximize efficiency**
+ **Ensure timely completion of sanitation department goals and action plans both short and long term**
+ **Reliability – begin work on time and conform to work hours and schedule unless arrangements have been made with a manager**
+ **Cleaning office and non-production areas per SOPs and cGMPs**
+ **Cleaning all production areas including wet blending, dry blending, warehouse, and shipping/receiving areas per SOPs and GMPs**
+ **Overseeing clean out of place and clean in place procedures as needed**
**Requirements:**
+ **High school diploma or equivalent**
+ **Knowledge of chemical safety pertaining to cleaning chemicals**
+ **Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital**
+ **Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently**
+ **Attention to detail in all areas of work**
+ **Ability to consistently perform heavy lifting**
+ **3 years or more of sanitation experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred**
+ **Excellent communication and coaching skills**
+ **Detail oriented and organized**
+ **Knowledge of sanitation procedures for food manufacturing plant preferred**
+ **Ability to meet deadlines**
+ **Ability to stay focused at all times**
+ **Ability to write reports**
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
