\nThe Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production and warehouse equipment to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products. Ensures equipment and facility are effectively sanitized in accordance with established food manufacturing regulations and in compliance with government sanitation requirements.
\nFollow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nClean and sanitize filling equipment, tanks, lines, and other processing equipment using cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.\nClean and sanitize walls, ceilings and floors while utilizing cleaning chemicals and sanitizers as directed or required.\nFollow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, including lock out tag out, and report any deficiencies\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nPerform start-up, safety, quality, production and equipment checks and document results throughout the work day\nPerform sanitary equipment maintenance as per the preventative maintenance schedule or when directed by the supervisor\nRestock and replenish supplies as appropriate. Maintain sanitation logs.\nFollows all applicable GMP's for the area in which he/she is assigned.\nMaintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:
\n\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred\n1+ years of previous industrial cleaning experience. Prior experience working in manufacturing environment a plus\nPerform work standing 90% of the time with frequent bending and lifting\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations\nFluency in English; ability to communicate when necessary to complete duties, read and write\nMust have the ability to read, write, and understand policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards.\nCapable of working in a fast paced environment.\nAbility to manage time efficiently and effectively.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays\nMust be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.\n\nCorporate Summary:
