Sanitation Trainer

\r\n

The Trainer assists in the onboarding of newly hired associates to teach them to perform jobs in a safe and efficient manner. The Trainer also facilitates training and testing related to safety and Food Safety. 

\r\n

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities: 

\r\n\r\nConduct and facilitate safety training and other training for new associate Departmental Orientations \r\n\r\n\r\nTrain new associates on how to perform their jobs, including review of work instructions and procedures and correct usage of work tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) \r\n\r\n\r\nTrain new associates to clean equipment and work areas in the production plant, following daily and other master sanitation plans. \r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure safety protocols and report safety incidents that occur in the sanitation area. \r\n\r\n\r\nFollowing and enforcing company rules, policies, and procedures  \r\n\r\n\r\nEnforcing all safety measurements as required by the company  \r\n\r\n

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

\r\n

 

\r\n\r\nAbility to learn and to perform all jobs within a specific department \r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently and to be self-motivated in performing job tasks \r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to be a role model for excellent work behaviors and attendance for other associates \r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to communicate to associates at all levels, from hourly associates to plant management \r\n\r\n\r\nStrong working knowledge of policies, procedures, and rules of the plant and company \r\n\r\n\r\nCommitment to the plant safety and health programs \r\n\r\n\r\nTranslation and interpretation skills if bilingual \r\n\r\n\r\nWorking knowledge of common word processing, spreadsheet, and visual presentation software \r\n\r\n\r\nWillingness to work in medium industrial conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures, damp to wet conditions, dusty conditions, and outdoors \r\n\r\n\r\nPhysical ability to stand for eight (8) hours or more daily; lift, push, pull, and carry up to seventy (80) pounds; and perform repetitive manual motions with knives, scissors, and/or machinery \r\n\r\n

Working Conditions/Department Description: 

\r\n\r\nWork in damp, cold, steamy, hot, and warm environments. \r\n\r\n\r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery, with and/or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors. \r\n\r\n
