**Job Title: Sanitation Worker** **Job Description** We are a Canadian-owned business specializing in the production of frozen Asian foods, including spring rolls. Our brand is sold in stores under the name SUMM. We are looking for a dedicated sanitation worker to help maintain sanitation standards within all areas of our facility. **Responsibilities** + Maintain sanitation standards throughout the facility. + Understand and follow health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines and work procedures. + Follow GMP guidelines and safety practices including lockout tag out, chemical handling, proper lifting techniques, and proper PPE use. + Adhere to SSOP guidelines for the cleaning and sanitation of all required equipment. + Follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications. + Utilize cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and high and low-pressure water hoses. + Perform machine tear downs for cleaning purposes, including disassembling and reassembling production equipment. + Manually clean equipment by rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, and sanitizing production equipment, and cleaning CIP equipment. + Accurately complete daily sanitation documentation (checklists). **Shift & Wage:** + Monday - Friday 9.30pm - 6am (Night shift) + Pay : $20 p/hr **Essential Skills** + Good English communication skills. + Ability to stand for 8 hours. + Ability to lift from floor to waist and from waist to shoulder. + Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. + Comfortable working in a wet environment with cleaning chemicals and high and low-pressure hoses. + Experience in food production and packaging. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1+ year experience in food manufacturing. + 1+ year experience doing sanitation work. + 1+ year experience in labor work. + WHMIS knowledge or certification. + Self-motivated and cooperative team member. + Creativity and a drive for continuous improvement. + Strong team orientation and a will to succeed together. + Courage and humility in the workplace. + Safety-oriented mindset. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive family environment with opportunities for growth and development.
