Job Summary  

The Project Beyond Sanitation Worker will play a key role cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas. Responsibilities will include handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitizers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling, and storing the chemicals, and managing chemical accidents, dry clean-up and disposing of waste.  

 

Essential Duties / Responsibilities: 

Clean and sanitize the plant to meet quality and bacterial standards imposed by plant standards. 

Completely sanitize the plant effectively and efficiently. 

Some after-construction detail cleaning will also be required.  

Work in an environment that is wet, humid, and undergoes extreme temperature changes. 

Work around large processing equipment where chemicals are used to complete the sanitation process. 

Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer. 

Lift/ move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout every work shift. 

Assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices. 

Wear employer-specified protective gear. 

Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (with protective gear). 

Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during extended periods of time. 

Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose any danger to self or others. 

The position will require a scissor lift certification.  

 

Other Job Duties:  

High Lift certification will be required 

Ability to use power equipment as required (i.e Backpack vacuums, floor scrubbers and steam cleaner.) 

Wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required for chemical use 

Work around cleaning chemicals 

Will require extended periods on lifts and ladders. 

Will require work in a construction zone at times. 

 

 

Working Schedule and Required Flexibility  

This will be a position that will require flexible availability. Some weekend, night and early morning hours will be required. Any second shift or third shift hours will qualify for the shift differential. This can happen at short notice.  

Full-time 40 hours per week.  

Overtime may be required.  

This position will require working during plant downtime.  

The Project Beyond Sanitation Worker will be key in commissioning the new line.  

A passion for the sanitization process is a plus.  

Previous sanitation experience preferred but not required.   

 

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies) 

High school diploma or equivalent schooling. 

Good paperwork/ documentation skills. 

Ability to read, write and comprehend documents relating to the job. 

Effectively communicate with individuals of all levels, both internally and externally. 

Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees.  

 

Physical Requirements 

Physically capable of performing all required duties including heavy lifting. 

Ability to pass fit test.
