Job Description

Site Occupational Health Leader is responsible for the continual assessment of business needs and the application of the Health Systems Key Elements audit tool and process to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare and occupational health services. This role collaborates with site leadership and key partners, including HS&E, Risk, Fire Chief, HR, and Legal, to implement and maintain occupational health and wellbeing programs that align with business objectives, mitigate risks, and promote employee wellbeing. Additionally, the Medical Supervisor ensures compliance with country-specific laws, P&G’s medical testing requirements, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage occupational health programs, including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and radiological protection.

Assess workers' physical fitness for job roles and identify potential health risks in the workplace.

Diagnose and treat occupational and environmental diseases, as well as competently manage injuries.

Lead preventive health and wellness programs, including campaigns to mitigate infectious, chronic degenerative, and musculoskeletal diseases.

Ensure compliance with workplace health regulations and legal requirements.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure the secure handling of employee health data.

Generate epidemiological and statistical reports for health risk assessment and mitigation.

Provide medical emergency response and preparedness.

Manage and administrate the company's medical services effectively.

Address behavioral factors associated with workplace health and safety.

Utilize Office and Outlook programs for documentation and communication.

Provide strategic health recommendations and conduct health studies for the site.

Supervise and lead direct reports, ensuring effective team management.

Job Qualifications

Education: General Physician with a title and professional license.

Advanced Studies: Master’s degree or postgraduate specialization in Occupational Health, Risk Prevention, Health Services Administration, or related fields.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in positions related to occupational health and workplace safety.

Licensure: Must hold the necessary licensure to practice in Chile (EUNACOM certification).

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage with employees and stakeholders to foster a culture of health and safety.

Expertise in occupational health and mental health management.

Managerial experience, including direct supervision of at least one report.

Ability to conduct health studies and provide data-driven health recommendations.

Understanding and application of workplace health and safety regulations.

Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and workplace health risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in conducting audiometry and spirometry.

Previous experience as a general practitioner in manufacturing plants or occupational health settings.
