Key Responsibilities:
SAP is used across the company for its enterprise business services. SAP standard modules namely FI, CO, MM, FM/RM, PS, travel, and workflow are used with minimum customization. SAP has been heavily customized to meet some of the unique business requirements, such as STAR system for concessional finance and iLAP system for loans administration. The SAP developer is responsible for the development and support of the above mentioned standard/custom applications using SAP standard programming language ABAP.
Essential Job Functions:Develop and maintain Custom SAP Objects like screens, RFC, BAPI, BADI, User exits, inbound and outbound interfaces, ABAP/4 Reports, ABAP Query, and Report Writer and Report Painter reports in the areas of FI, CO, FM and MM modulesWrite Low Level Design, Unit Testing Plan, and Unit Test case documentationDesign, develop, code review, bug-fix, and test the applicationAssist in Integration TestingPerform Code optimization and strictly adhere to bank coding standardsAssist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for OIS clearanceCoordinate day-to-day communication between team in Chennai and HQ.Educational Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computing Science, Engineering, or related disciplineRole Specific Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Experience in writing interfaces between SAP and legacy systems, including data migration, data validation, and data conversionExperience with ABAP/4 Query, ALV, and Report Writer and Report Painter toolsExperience with BAPI and RFC technologyIT experience with SAP ABAP/4 programmingTechnical experience with FI (General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger), Controlling, Budgeting, and Funds Management, Travel, and Materials Management modules of SAPExperience in Function Modules, RFC, Reports, BDCs, SMARTFORMS, BAPI, User Exits & Enhancements, and Unicode based programming.Certification Requirements:SAP ABAP certificationSkills/Abilities Requirements:Good understanding and practical expertise with regards to software development life cycle methodologiesGood understanding of the following: database tables used in FI, CO, FM, Travel and MM modulesHands-on SAP ABAP code optimization techniquesSolid knowledge in the development and testing methodologies and quality practicesStrong communication skills and hands on experience in analyzing user requirements and writing technical specificationsGood written and oral communication skills in English.Levels: (level II, III):
